Indigenous Perspective

At Wihnmené School, we are deeply committed to integrating Indigenous Perspectives throughout our Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum. This approach not only honors the rich cultural heritage and wisdom of our community but also enhances our students' understanding of the world around them. By exploring Indigenous ways of knowing and being, students develop critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and a sense of belonging. This holistic education fosters empathy and respect for diverse viewpoints, preparing our students to thrive in a multicultural society while empowering them to become informed and engaged global citizens.

Fostering a Collaborative Partnership for Student Success

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is essential to recognize the vital role you play in your child's education and overall development. Our school is committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and socially, but this effort requires a collaborative partnership between home and school. We understand that life can be busy, yet it is crucial that each child feels supported and encouraged in their learning journey. We urge you to engage actively with your child’s education by creating a positive and nurturing home environment that values learning, curiosity, and respect. Together, we can instill the importance of education and ensure that our students not only succeed in school but also develop into well-rounded individuals. Your involvement is key to their success, and we are here to support you in this shared responsibility. Thank you for your continued commitment to your child's future.
